If you are like me, you wake up every day wanting to wear that adorable outfit but aren’t sure what undergarment to wear with it. Often times, it comes down to needing a solution for your undergarment. Here are some tips on the accessories that can help you get fashionista ready.
Backless or Strapless?
This is a common problem that we see at Bloomers … what to wear with backless or strapless attire? Many want an alternative to a strapless bra because we feel like we are constantly tugging on it.
Nubra backless and strapless bra. This ingenious invention utilizes medical grade silicone to adhere to your breasts. Many ask if they will come off when you sweat and I can tell you that they absolutely stay put. It is important though to keep fuzz and other materials from collecting on the sticky part. It is also important to wash them with a delicate liquid soap to keep them clean and fresh. These are the ultimate solution when you want to go backless or strapless.
Another great solution is Commando’s newest accessory, Take-Offs. Using their words “this easy, removable, and invisible breast lift tape is your passport to temporary, surgery-free perkiness.” These adhere to your breast and lift them up so there is no more sagging. These too allow you to go backless and strapless.
If you dare, try Hollywood Fashion Secret’s silicone cover ups that cover the nipple, but nothing else. These are great to wear with tank tops or a structured strapless dress whereby you just want to keep the headlights off.
Finally, the newest tool in the tool kit is the Low Back strap converter that converts your favorite bra’s back strap into a low back strap. These are great for low back outfits that will allow you to still wear a bra. Just know that they only go so low.
Rogue Bra Straps, Hems and Perkiness
How many times do you find yourself in these situations? You need to wear a bra with an outfit, but the straps are showing. Or, it is 100 degrees outside but 60 degrees in the grocery store. Or, you are heading out the door to work and realize when you get in the car and are running late that half your pant or skirt hem has come out. Thankfully there are fashion solutions to the rescue. Here are some to try.
Hollywood Fashion Secrets’ Bra Converting Clip is the best rescue for those pesky bra straps that won’t get out of the way. This fabulous invention takes your favorite bra and turns it into a racerback version. What I love about these clips is that they cinch tight and won’t un-cinch mid-day. It is important that you position the clip and straps between your lower shoulder blades so it doesn’t creep up your back.
Commando’s Low Beams can be your new best friend. These put the headlights on low and are great to use in many ways. Wear them under an unlined bra or bralette or wear them in place of a bra under a tank top or strapless outfit. Keep in mind that they don’t offer any support. They simply cover up your high beams or the potential for them.
Hollywood Fashion Secrets’ double-sided tape. Remember the famous J-Lo dress? She was able to wear that confidently thanks to the help of double-sided tape. While there are many copycat versions on the market, these are the original. They can be used for untimely and unruly hems, gaping blouses, to keep straps in place, or to tame cleavage hemorrhage. You can even use them to create costumes! These are fabric and skin friendly and can be taped to your body or to fabric without residue. This is one of those things you want to keep in your purse, your car and your closet. You can never have enough and you can use them for almost anything … even hemming curtains.
I do this everyday. I put on my deodorant, get dressed and then I grimace when I see the deodorant streaking down the side of my top. There is a solution for that too!
Meet the Miss Oops’ Deodorant Removing Sponge. This dry sponge is awesome at removing deodorant stains from your wardrobe. Rub the dry sponge over the deodorant stain and viola! it is gone. It’s like a miracle.
